After searching multiple stores for the right paper towel holder, this is it! Stainless steel construction with foam padding underneath, super easy to tear off one sheet no matter the size of the roll, lightweight enough to move around easily, simple design. My old holder had one of those side pieces that are supposed to make it easier to tear off one square, but I found it more annoying than helpful because a new roll would always be too tight to move—the worst! This solves that issue :) My only comment for improvement is that I wish it was elevated from the countertop with little feet so if I’m doing dishes and happen to flood the counter with water, or if something spills like juice, etc., the bottom of the holder won’t get sopping wet. But I guess I’ll deal with that problem when it comes! Also the height could be lowered an inch.When you buy something at a great price, you wonder what you're going to receive. These paper towel holders surprised me on all counts. They look terrific. They are machined well so the screws fit perfectly and the towel rod is exactly vertical.Some reviews have mentioned that the base isn't heavy enough - I thought mine felt heavy so weighed them. They weighed 16.1 oz or essentially a pound. While that doesn't sound like much it's more than enough to make them sturdy and not easy to knock over given how little a roll of paper towels weighs.Didn't notice when I ordered that it was 2. Great price. Would reorder.I really liked the paper towel holder, the one aspect I didn't like is that there was not a piece to hold the remainder sheets in place when you remove one sheet.I keep rolls of paper towels in each of my bathrooms, and these towel golden are perfect for that use.Serves the purpose well. Good value for $Received my two pack of paper towel holders today. They look good they are simple it was very easy to put them together and they just work like they are supposed to. It is an excellent value for what they are. I debated whether or not to get the kind that mount to the wall or somewhere and decided if I want to move them this would work much better because I can move them to a different table or outside to the picnic table or wherever I need them. Very convenient!Happy with this purchase.
